July 1, 2009 Modified Player 'Replace' options to include Keyboard note selection for replacing using the 'Vc Only' feature. IOW, you have the added option of selecting a note range to replace rather than a channel, section, or a paused count.
Added a separate download for the help doc. which includes screenshots.
June 10, 2009 Updated 'Getting Started Help' and removed the unneeded 'Tips' section.
Added an additional function for the keyboard's 'Distribute over channels' - when checked, it will set the keyboard channel to the Player's channel (good for editing).
Enabled on-click sound for keyboard and fretboard note positions during editing without checking the 'On Clk' box, which disables drag and R/L Click edits.
June 1, 2009 Enabled a setting of '1' for the 'Loops Stored' (divider) control, which will enable the ascending/descending replace arrows to affect a single change in the overall pitch when replacing.
Added drag-drop for moving notes on the keyboard or fretboard, in addition to other move options.
Enabled notes-off on paused play buttons when clicking the next play button.
May 17, 2009 Improved note-off results for the new ascending/descending replace feature.
May 14, 2009 Added another option for the Player's 'Chan Trigger Arp1' which will keep the Arp notes within the same octave range as the notes triggering it - works for either keyboard or fretboard depending on which is selected to generate voices when you click on chords.
Added loop section selection to the new ascending/descending replace option. Also modified the middle selector to affect the amount of change on each loop section.
May 1, 2009 Added an option for ascending/descending replacements enabled by the upper checkbox and the arrow selected, the amount of change depending on: the loops stored/division control, total length, and the number of times you click 'replace' - builds on existing note values.
April 20, 2009 Added an option for the Player's 'Chan Trigger Arp1' which will have it switching channels according to the channels selected to trigger it - Arp uses the Keyboard to change voices when you click on chords.
April 15, 2009 Small fixes done on the new 'Assembly' Grid - complete.
April 9, 2009 Enabled Player sequencer feature 'Seq. Play' to work during trial period.
Added an additional mode for channel mixing with the 'Assembly' view. The notes of channels turned 'On' will be replaced sequentially by all the notes currently playing - this will determine the order played, as opposed to minimal change replacement.
Added error prevention and better handling of nonexistent channels for the 'Assembly' view. Fixed the bug that returns an error message when the program closes.
Added 'Undo' for the 'Assembly' view.
April 2, 2009 Added 'Assembly' grids which lets you turn on and off channels for any of the 64 Player1 locations, while blending them into the main button playing.
March 15, 2009 Added another Player sequencer feature 'Seq. Play', which will simply start the next button playing instead of looping back (every button gets played, and begin/end points of buttons may be modified). You can still click buttons to override or change the location of sequencing.
Improved note-off events for the edit feature 'Move Vc' on the keyboard. Improved the keyboard's 'ACC replace Chan' by wrapping around results when using the ACC time shift control. Improved documentation. Modified 'Filter On' to initialize by removing any input scale so that filtering is done by input chords only - the scale may be used again if needed. Updated version to 9.6.
February 22, 2009 Improved the note-off complete function (needed when note or time changes keep the last note-off events from getting used), and applied to: , 'replace' and 'stay at loop' features, and 'play' button changes. Either the note length selector, or paused menu item 'insert note offs', is needed if any notes still stay on.
Improved 'variance modulate' to first list chords of the same number of notes as the source chord, due to the potential size of the list.
February 8, 2009 Improved minimum-change 'Replace' by list chords/scales (the default condition) by rewriting the function to be simpler and better. Also changed the effect the upper checkbox option, and mode selector, has on minimum-change 'Replace'.
February 1, 2009 Added note length selectors to each Arp. Fixed a sequencer bug that occurs at the 5th row. Enabled 'Undo' for each change of the time and note shift selectors. Several other small improvements.
January 27, 2009 Made the channel selectors bigger for easier use. Added 'Insert Chan Note-Offs at Paused' to the step-pause control's popup menu. Modified store buttons to include the ACC button if playing without needing the 'Store Real Time' option - includes the time-shift control's effect. Made 'number of tracks' heading agree with number defined using the multitrack option when exporting. Added a 'Shade' option to darken lists. Modified Screenshots to show the 'Shade' option. Modified the 'Getting Started Guide'. Made 'Grid' larger to accommodate large loop lengths. Fixed 'Extensions Modulate' for the main list's menu.
January 4, 2009 Modified 'ACC Repl Chan' to include Loop section only changes if selected. Fixed an option for 'ACC Repl Chan' that allows timing, but not notes, to be replaced by ACC button timing for copied channels selected - keeps original channel contents of the main button playing.
December 2 7, 2008 Improved channel blending between player buttons using 'ACC Repl Chan' - formally 'ReplaceT'. (The stored ACC button's rhythm, or harmony, or both may be easily applied to the other button's channels selected without any interruption in sound.) Improved the 'KB1' option for 'Chan Replace On Click'. (Keyboard note per channel replaces all channels even when there are fewer notes than channels.)
November 13, 2008 Improved help documentation by adding lock-step procedures in addition to 'Getting Started' guidelines. Improved Channel Pitch Bend Drag for both player and keyboard's 'On Point' features. Improved the License making it easier to buy after the trial period is up, and making the 'False System' message harder to get and easier to recover from. Various other improvements for ease of use. Released version 9.2
October 9, 2008 Updated Developer Studio IDE. Rebuilt and uploaded ChordwarePA update. Modified keyboard remove note for right-clicks only, in order to not interfere when dragging notes for pitch bending. Modified Getting 'Started' and 'Tips'.
September 29, 2008 Added Wave format record and play. Modified 'Copy' and 'Paste' channels to work between Player1 and Player2. Added 'On Point' option 'Hold Lp' on the keyboard so that the 'Chan' option can be used separate from the 'Lp' option. Added 'Store On Point>Chan' as a short cut to 'Store Real Time' when only one note is needed to play for 'On Point>Chan'. Improved off-event structure for the new option checked for 'On Point>Chan'.
September 13, 2008 Modified the 'Time' selectors to make use of the 'Chan note Length' selector.

September 7, 2008 Added an option to the keyboard's 'On Point' and 'Chan' feature. This will mute [On Point] but will still play the notes when triggered by the channels selected. It will also use the instruments of the channels selected instead of the keyboard’s instrument. Try using the Player’s 'Only' and 'Mute Plus' with this.
Modified the Help guide.
August 29, 2008 Fixed an export bug which prevented export of one of the tracks. Fixed a bug that prevented the last notes played from being turned off when exporting. Added a 'KB2' option for the 'Chan Replace on Click' feature which uses keyboard notes generated to replace channels selected. This keeps the voice distribution in place as opposed to 'KB1' which replaces voices in a channel with one note. Modified the keyboard's 'Play' button to be used with a 'KB' option if selected to allow voices to be modified first with the middle mouse button. Added a 'Buy' link for both the main and Download pages. The 'Buy' button in the program will link for purchasing only before the trial period expires.
August 17, 2008 Fixed a bug for the August 13 feature update that happens when a channel is selected that is not used. Fixed the keyboard's remove (Rmv) note when paused. Modified the guide to 'Getting Started' .
August 13, 2008 Added an option to 'Chan Replace on List Click' which will replace channels with the voices normally generated by the keyboard (default) or the fretboard. This is useful because it will result in only one note playing in each channel replaced. This may then be replaced by other methods that distribute the notes to other pitches in the chord. This option may also be restricted to replacing current loop sections. Modified the guide to 'Getting Started' .

July 5, 2008 Discarded the old method of storing Arps in favor of the 'StoreRealTime' method - box unchecked will let the program decided the begin and end points using the 'Arp1 Loops Stored' selector, and checked will let you decide using the 'StopSRT' button.
June 28, 2008 Updated the installer for Vista support. Modified 'Channel Note Length' for negative settings to insure notes of the same pitch don't overlap within a channel. Modified 'Getting Started' help. Fixed program settings for the midi text file made when no instruments are selected. Removed 'License Status' window on startup.
June 19, 2008 Added 'Undo' for keyboard's 'Move' showing a paused note for the player. Added 'Undo' for keyboard's 'Copy Vc to Chan' feature for player channels. Improved scale name display by extending length of strings used. Added player buttons 'Switch With' and 'Copy to' (enabled by checkbox) used for channel selectors.
June 5, 2008 Fixed note-off event completion between Player button clicks. Fixed note-off event completion for moving notes when paused. Modified 'Mix' to include turning off channels for the triggered accompaniment (left 'ACC' button).
May 28, 2008 Improved the instrument list selector. Modified 'Record/Export' to name exported midi text file with extension 'txt', allowing easier file selection when converting to MIDI file. Modified the Player's default tempo.
May 20, 2008 Improved the 'Keyboard' and the 'Grid' for 'R/L Click Move' (right-click select, left-click move to) for moving notes in the current loop section playing. Added 'Keyboard' and 'Arp' feature 'Distribute over Channels' which changes the channel for every note played.
May 9, 2008 Enabled the keyboard's 'Move Tm' for paused notes. Fixed recent problem with the keyboard's 'Move Vc' for paused notes. Brought back the Record feature 'Multitrack with opened MTF' - disabled for TXT. Tweaked and perfected the keyboard's 'On Clk Add' feature for a button playing. Improved 'Help Getting Started'. Updated version to 8.6.
May 7, 2008 Returned Player channel selection to default when resetting or closing 'Mix' window.
May 2, 2008 Improved auto-voicing generated by either keyboard or fretboard when clicking on list chords or scales - also used for playing Arps. Enabled the scale list window for playing scales. Added Arps to scale list popup menu. Modified the keyboard's 'move voice' feature to also work for a cleared voicing (no selected notes in blue) to generate auto-voicing that moves over the display when mouse is pressed - direction changes as pointer is moved. Selected voices will still move the notes in the button playing. Added 'Lookup Keyboard On Change' option for the sequencer. Modified main window's 'Having, (Not Having) Notes' to affect the scale list generated.
April 22, 2008 Enabled 'Save' and 'Record Export'. Modified 'Variance' and 'Extensions' lists to include unnamed chords if 'Sort By Notes' is selected to generate all note combinations. Modified the Player's list selector to better accommodate switching between lists. Chord name popup at Player selector works for unnamed chords. Modified 'Mix' Channels' to allow play buttons to be changed, or 'ACC' to be turn off and on, without affecting channels selected to play. Added controls to the piano roll 'Grid' for easier loop section editing. Other improvements and fixes, such as move and delete paused notes.
April 6, 2008 Added 'Mix' (Acc) for turning channels on and off, and mixing channels, between the accompaniment and the main button playing. Updated 'Help'.
March 27, 2008 Added a second tempo control, which works with the first, to humanize the effect and expand tempo possibilities.
March 22, 2008 Improved loop transitions for Player buttons. Improved the keyboard's 'On Clk' Add/Rmv' feature for adding arpeggios.
March 15, 2008 Fixed an intermittent bug when using 'Open Import'. Enabled use of 'Open Import' when a 'play' is on in order to set instruments using 'Set All to Opened'. Enabled Player1 controls to be used only for voiced notes in blue if the Keyboard's 'Vc Only' is checked.
March 3, 2008 Made further improvements of imported midi to include all types of files encountered. Modified the 'Tempo' control to give lower tempos for settings 0..10.
February 25, 2008 Modified the player's list selector to include the scale heading. Works for the replace button and the label can use the scale's popup menu. Improved imported midi. Stores the instruments for the 'Set All to Opened' button like the 'Open sng' does. Fixed 'Undo' for replace given new mode selector setting.

February 6, 2008 Added an option to the keyboard and fretboard's 'On Point' feature allowing it to repeat notes as the mouse pointer reverses direction over a note - can give a tremolo effect. Also works with parallel interval options. Click the 'On Point1' label to become 'On Point2'.
Improved Player's 'Stay At Loop'. Improved Scale List's 'Combine Added'.
January 26, 2008 Improved the piano roll grid (Player's 'Grid' button) to include move note, cut, and add - pitch and time determined by the cell clicked, and duration determined by duration of mouse pressed. Also includes 'stay at loop section'.

January 11, 2008 Improved Keyboard feature 'ReplaceT' which adds or replaces channels between 2 buttons. Enabled the Lp feature for click replace on extension and variance lists.

December 9, 2007 Improved last update for off-event results in 'Replace'. Retained the option to use the old 'replace' method by allowing you to deselect all up/down arrows - the old method keeps any existing octaves when replacing. Modified Channel length 'apply' for a setting of zero - causes previous notes to be turned off at the time clicked.
November 27, 2007 Revised and improved small change Replace functions, with options to change up, down, or both for the smallest changes.
November 22, 2007 Added 'Stay At Lp' to the players which lets you play only the loop section determined by the division and loop selectors. This helps with editing loop sections, and can be used with other features to create new rhythms.
November 9, 2007 Rebuilt the sequencer for play buttons which will allow timing between them to be tweaked by adjusting grid lines. Loading the sequencer is done by clicking play buttons with the load option checked. Right-clicking sequencer sections will reset play to those sections. Modified the 'Move Vc' up/down control to move paused notes showing on the keyboard for count-only moves. Modified 'R/L Click Move' (right-select, left-move) to use the player's loop selector as an alternative to left-clicking at the current loop section. Modified lists for extensions and variance to show chord name colors like main list. Added real-time channel replace simply by clicking on list chords as a shortcut to using selectors and menus. Also has an option to undo before each replace to keep the voicing consistent. Added an option to accent the sound of channel(s) selected. Improved the help documentation. Fixed an occasional disconnect of a play button to its contents. Added chord and scale formulas next to the name on the keyboard/fretboard captions. Released Version 8.0.
September 19, 2007 Improved Player tempo control by allowing smaller changes per adjustment - the 'Stretch' feature can be used to store a tempo change using the section length control. Improved parts of help documentation. Added more samples to sample.sng file.
September 2, 2007 Added an option to Player to allow its selected channels to trigger Arp1 - Arp1 play function is called whenever selected channel notes are supposed to play. Clicking list chords will load chords to Arp1. This is easy to do and adds a new dimension to using player buttons. Improved Auto-voicing generation for the Fretboard and Keyboard to support the above feature. Improved 'ChanLpClkBeat' which lets you sound all the notes at once of the channel(s) selected for the current loop clicked. Improved Move/Copy on the keyboard that moves or copies voices selected to other channels.
